Bowling
Captain Lasith Malinga is ready to lead the attack in ODIs, the bowler has already felt his presence by taking five wickets during the practice match and the team will depend on him for most wickets. While World Fernando, who finished the Test series as the highest wicket-taker with 12 wickets, liked to get straight head for an ODI, and that is likely to dent in the African top order.

Sri Lanka
In fact, there is not a better sense which will strengthen the favorite in the game of cricket. However, Sri Lanka did this twice in the recently concluded Test series. Leading in the ODI series, they are doing something on similar terms - something that Arjuna Ranatunga's team did for completing the '96 World Cup team.
Sri Lanka are performing relatively poorly in their recent most recent ODIs, in which they have defeated New Zealand in all the three matches of the series. Since returning to the International Circuit, Lasith Malinga has been a mixed campaign. He has performed remarkably well among the many spectacular performances. On the other hand, Thisara Perera has been a revelation for them, at least with the bat and will play an important role in the forthcoming series.
South Africa
The 2-0 defeat in the Test series should really be playing on Proteas' mind, given that only five players playing the longest version of the game are part of the ODI series.
As far as one-day matches are concerned, South Africa is bringing an interesting series against Pakistan. After reaching the end in the first one-day match, it was a commendable effort to win the series 3-2 by Proteas.
